I wondered in my own 10 a.m.--4 p.m. program at my local library was going to induce me to neglect the pub, so I ventured down to the law library one day. I found that those folks could have been "in the library" all day, but they were definitely not researching all day. I returned to my own customs and understood the study skills that got me could get me through the pub I knew worked for me.

Did any courses prove particularly useful as you started practicing?

To be honest, not one of my substantive law classes were quite beneficial in practice beyond supplying an overall understanding of how to read and analyze a situation and a general understanding of legal principles. Perhaps the most useful skills classes are those taught by adjunct professors about cutting topics such as e-discovery, social networking and the law, employment law styles, and the like, in which you know about timely issues and, presumably, would retain the knowledge for use when you graduate.
